I have been riding recumbents for 20+ years after too many head-first trips over the handlebars. I have ridden and owned long-wheel-base, short-wheel-base, under seat and over seat steer bikes. For many years, my main ride was a Lightning P-38 Voyager but two years ago I decided to try Cruzbikes. I was debating between an S40 and a V20, and after some local test rides (from gracious owners) and a trip to Larry Oslund's "Cruzeum" in Hilton Head, I decided the S40 was more practical for my common rides (but really loved the V20). As I was buying an S40 from Larry, he pointed out a good deal for a used V20 so now I have both. It did confirm the S40 does make more sense for me, but the V20 is pure joy for longer, less start and stop, rides. Someday I would like to try a Q45 or the new A4X for some of my "rougher" rides but have not done so yet. Since the Cruzbikes arrived, I have rarely ridden any of my older recumbents which says a lot. I also spend a lot of time at my lakehouse out near Tyler, TX so am available out there and could bring bikes.
