I quit riding after grad school, and started back 40 years later in my 60's. First with traditional diamond frame, but lots of pain in neck, hands, crotch; and then broke a collar bone going over the handlebars in a pothole. Switched to recumbents, which made more sense and were more fun. I love the better view of the road from setting up over crouched over the handlebars. Cruzbike seemed like a better design, particularly eliminating the long, inefficient chain. Now 75, I am not in it for the speed, but I think it does help with the climbing. The comfort is great. I do 2-4 century rides per year and can finish with no pains at all.
