I bought a Silvio sight-unseen for commuting and loved it so much I took it "racing" in Portland, where I met Maria and Jim and ended up setting a cross-washington UMCA record, being the first recumbent to cross the finish line at HooDoo500 and then joining their team for their team record breaking RAAM attempt. Since then I haven't ridden much. :( I still love it. The Cruzbike platform made cycling enjoyable. Any upright hurt my neck (and all the rest). My OG recumbent was heavy and difficult to wrangle and maintain. Cruzbike's platform solved all the problems and improved my performance in every category.
