I found Cruzbike while trying to find a solution to pain while riding after I had multiple spine surgeries. I’d never ridden a recumbent before. What drew me to Cruzbike was that it uses standard road bike parts, is relatively lightweight, it will fit on my bike rack, and it’s just plain cool-looking! I was also intrigued by the design. I started with an S40 and was hooked after my first ride. I did not find there was much of a learning curve, but of course that experience will vary. Less than 6 months after my second back surgery I was able to complete a 50-mile ride, averaging near 19mph, even with lingering nerve damage in my leg. Less th an a year after that I did my very first 100-mile ride, and when I was done I felt like I could do it again. Zero pain, it was amazing! There just aren’t any appropriate words to describe how much fun this bike is, and I’d love to share my experience! I recently purchased a V20c as well, but I’m not done getting it built. I’m super excited about it!
